This was a genuinely enjoyable production to be part of. I worked as Data Wrangler across several episodes in the final runs of Seasons 10 and 11.
The daily workflow was substantial. We ran seven cameras, one jib, two drones, between four and six GoPros, and two separate sound recordists. Cards needed to be offloaded multiple times throughout the day, often under time pressure.
Days were long, and evenings were longer. It was frequently raining. However, the atmosphere in the OB truck stayed upbeat right through to wrap. The only real tension came at the end of the night, when everyone understandably wanted their cards prioritised so they could hit the road.
In many ways, it felt like a return to my earlier days at ShinAwiL as a production assistant, managing media offloads across various studio productions. That experience made stepping into this role feel natural and instinctive.
